Glow In The Dark Tour

A recap of the San Diego Glow In The Dark Tour...

Arena

First off... It was nothing less than an amazing spectacle.

NOTE: The pictures you see below were taken with my cell.

The staff/Kanye's Godzilla body guard were literally reaching over the fencing grabing

cameras and phones with no intentions of giving them back.

I was lucky to get what I could.

Arrived at 4:40pm, the public line was insane! The line wrapped around the whole San Diego Arena! Along side the arena, scalpers trying to hustle some tickets were there, along with this dude with a limp selling various colors of the infamous "Kanye Shades". So me and rob were looking for our little booth, walking past the general public line, people were looking at us in awe, thinking we were cutting them or what have you.

Finally we saw a group of about 10 people next to the RV's, we got to our needed destination. Soon after we arrived about 20 other people came. I was so glad our VIP people were just a few and not a whole bunch of mobbin people. Got our tickes and wristbands and went through the doors, first buying the tour shirts then down stairs to our private party room. It was pretty chill, they had sodas, sparking water, music playing [kanye of course], a bar, chicken bites, all the good stuff.

Our host got us together for a quick tour.

Unable to meet the artists, we just walked pass the door way leading to their dressing room. I guess the reason was if we were to walk into that room, in was connected to other various rooms that held, Rihanna, Kanye, Lupe, and N.E.R.D. So it was impossible to get a glance. But we saw the cool stars on the doors that read "Kanye West" in the gold star and such. We got to see all the equipment they used, saw the set up of the stages, pretty much a behind the scenes of how everything was gunna go down. After our tour, we were escorted happily by staff behind our door way were a black curtain was hung over, for sound check. They didnt want us peepin in before then..

Lupe was suposed to be on at 7:00pm.. it was already 7:10pm. The General public above us were not havin it. First off mad that they looked down the stairs and saw us there, wondering how the hell we got there before them, and that the show was running late. When the released us, it was a freakin race. I swear I thought I saw some girls in pumps fell down the stairs haha. Rushed to the front and grabbed ahold my piece of metal fencing. Not a minute later, hords of people were mobbin behind me, felt like a over packed school bus times 10! Now during each performance there was a brief intermission of about 15-20 min.

Nikki Jean also made an appearance on several of Lupe's tracks. Known for "Hip Hop Saved My Life"

After his perfomance, he threw his sweater in the crowd, just missing my grasp! The people behind me were literally pulling the damn sweater in 5 different ways, I knew they were gunna rip that shit. In the end, I think some lil girl got ahold of it..

After N.E.R.D. made their way to the stage, seriously getting the whole crowd pumpin.

About 5 people were crowd surfing, sadly Pharrell didnt make his way onto our hands... After they were chuckin BBC tees out to the crowd, fights almost breaking out again.

Rihanna.. Not knowing much of her songs, other than her hits, girl did well. Looking super fresh in a catwoman like outfit, outlined in hot pink. With matching leather boots with a hot pink highlight to match. Her dancers did well too, props to them.

After Rihanna got down, it was at least a 45 minute intermission. Seeing a glimpse of his set during our backstage tour, I knew his set was going to be amazing. He opened up with "Goodmorning". He played all of my favorite tracks, his performance was at least.. an hour or 2 long, lost track.. Performed, "Hey Moma" that right there set the whole arena in an emotional state, a couple girls behind me were crying, thought I saw a guy too.. not sure.

The killer of course was "Stronger" Totally remixed that bitch and was so intense..

This concert is deff going to be unforgetable. Was worth every cent. Would do it all over again if I could haha. And this was only their 4th stop of like.. more than 20 im sure.

Overall, im still speechless. It was so surreal. You see these people on TV everyday, and thats the most you will ever see of them in your lifetime. To be 5 feet away.. its crazy. I had to look around for a couple seconds just to take it all in. Its like.. wow. Kanye West is right in front of me, TF?!

A seriously surreal moment.
